Vaidyaratnam Vrindavan Ayurveda Chikitsalayam
To help the increasing number of patients in Northern India and beyond, Ashtavaidyan Thaikkattu Mooss Vaidyaratnam, Kerala, has inaugurated a 150-bed Ayurveda Hospital at Vrindavan Chikitsalayam, approximately a 50-minute drive from Chandigarh.
Vaidyaratnam stands as one of the country’s oldest Ayurveda institutions, boasting centuries of research and wisdom in the field. The diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, along with the authentic medicaments utilized, mirror those employed at Vaidyaratnam in Kerala. Our team comprises expert medical and paramedical professionals with expertise and experience derived from Vaidyaratnam, Kerala.
Vaidyaratnam Vrindavan Ayurveda Chikitsalayam is furnished with top-notch traditional treatment facilities and is staffed by a dedicated team of highly experienced Ayurvedic physicians and therapists. Situated within the expansive 25-acre Vrindavan estate on prime hilly terrain, the hospital is surrounded by vast forests and features ample green spaces, playful landscaped terraces, and the melodic chirping of birds, enhancing its allure.
At VVAC, our objective extends beyond addressing specific symptoms; we adopt an integrated approach that considers factors such as diet, mental well-being, and daily routines. Chandigarh, recognized as one of India’s most prestigious cities, is conveniently connected to the site via a 30-kilometer interstate road link. Baddi, located at the junction of Punjab and Haryana in Himachal Pradesh, is easily accessible from Chandigarh.
The Eledath Thaikattu Mooss family boasts a long-standing tradition in Ayurveda, specifically as Ashtavaidyas—experts in all eight branches of this ancient healing system. Their commitment to Ayurveda began in the early 1900s and has since yielded significant contributions to the field.
Ashtavaidyan E.T. Narayanan Mooss, a prominent figure in the family, earned the esteemed title of Vaidyaratnam in 1924, a recognition of his exceptional expertise bestowed by the then Viceroy of India. Carrying forward this legacy, Ashtavaidyan Padma Shri E.T. Neelakandhan Mooss, his son, founded the Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala in 1941—a pivotal institution in the realm of Ayurveda.
In 1992, Ashtavaidyan Padma Shri E.T. Neelakandhan Mooss was honoured with the Padmasri, a prestigious civilian award, acknowledging his outstanding contributions to Ayurveda. Over eight decades, the Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala has evolved into a comprehensive entity in Ayurveda healthcare. The institution engages in diverse aspects of Ayurveda, including research, education, manufacturing, and the export of medicines. Furthermore, it operates treatment centres in key locations such as Kerala, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi, facilitating the widespread practice of Ayurveda.
This journey reflects a steadfast commitment to preserving and advancing Ayurvedic traditions, ensuring their continued enrichment and applicability in contemporary healthcare practices.
