Kareena Kapoor DietApproach: Eat Like An Indian, Train like a Pro

Contrary to myths about some celebrity ayurveda secrets, extreme dieting or starving to maintain a zero figure is definitely NOT a part of it. In several interviews, Kareena has often said that she continued to eat favourites like Aloo-Parantha even during her size-zero phase.

What is the game changer is “Portion control, nutrient timing, and pairing traditional meals with a strong exercise and yoga routine.” Also, her dietician Rujuta Diwekar has publicly explained that Kareena’s day typically starts with dry fruits (almonds, figs, or raisins).

Followed by wholesome breakfast like paratha or poha, lunch of dal and rice, and simple but nutrient-dense dinners such as Khichdi with ghee. (In one of her interviews, she also mentioned that she can’t sleep without eating Khichdi!)

When on film sets, Kareena Kapoor Khan prefers Dal and rice and on regular days she binges on home cooked roti sabzi. She doesn’t starve herself of something delicious, which is cheese toast and chinese.

All these principles rooted in seasonal wisdom mirror Ayurvedic advice on warm, easily-digestible meals.

Ayurvedic Elements Behind the “Size Zero” Diet

According to anti-aging ayurveda adopted by celebrities usually, Kareena’s diet plans are a bit different and reasonably sustainable. Like –

  • Ghee & Cooked Grains: Since, she includes healthy fats like ghee in her diet, it acts as an anti-aging essential. Also, cooked grains like rice provide Sneha (nourishment) to tissues and support vitality.
  • Seasonal Fruits: Consuming natural fruits naturally detox the body and balance hormones. Like Kareena loves mangoes shakes in summers.
  • Regular Meal Timing: According to Ayurveda, lunch should be the largest meal of the day and dinner must be the lightest meal because this reduces ama (metabolic waste) and supports digestion. Also, she have her dinner by 6 PM, lights out by 9:30 PM, and wakes up early in the morning to workout.
  • Use of Indian Traditional Staples: Aloo paranthas, Khidchi, or dal maintain energy and keep a person fuller for longer duration avoiding metabolic crash or triggered overeating.

In fact, upon applying these principles sensibly, it protects muscle mass, supports skin health, and slows down cellular wear.
