Organic Farming

In order to serve healthy, nutrient rich sustainable food to our patients, we, at Vaidyaratnam Vrindavan Ayurveda Chikitsalayam, Baddi, have a huge piece of land dedicated to organic farming. The produce from this farm is used in our kitchen.

Organic farming is a cyclic production system prohibiting the use of artificial fertilizers and development of fertile soil by crop rotation, compost, manure, clover etc. Researches show that organic food has much more nutrients such as antioxidants as compared to their conventionally grown counterparts. It also disallows the use of synthetically compounded fertilizers, pesticides, growth regulators, GMOs etc.

Advantages of an organic food or farming:

  • No harmful chemicals
  • Often fresher because of no preservatives.
  • Organic farming is better for the environment as it reduce pollution (air, water, soil), conserves water, reduces soil erosion, and increases soil fertility.
  • Organic food is GMO free.
