Experience authentic Kerala Panchakarma at Vrindavan Ayurveda Chikitsalayam — a NABH-accredited sanctuary in the serene Shivalik foothills, where the rains deepen your healing.
According to Ayurvedic texts, the monsoon is when your body's channels are most open, Agni is gentle, and therapies penetrate deepest into the tissues. This is not wellness — this is classical Ritucharya.
Ancient texts like the Ashtanga Hridayam dedicate entire chapters to seasonal healing. The monsoon is not an obstacle — it is a window of profound therapeutic opportunity.

During monsoon, your digestive fire (Agni) is naturally subdued. This makes the body more receptive to medicines and less reactive to intensive detoxification therapies. Treatments work deeper without overwhelming your system.
The moist, cool atmosphere softens the body's tissues and opens the srotas (micro-channels). Medicated oils penetrate deeper, toxins are drawn out more efficiently, and rejuvenation reaches the cellular level.
Monsoon aggravates all three doshas — Vata (cold, erratic air), Pitta (acidic vegetation), and Kapha (ambient moisture). This triple imbalance is why joint pain, allergies, and digestive issues flare up — and why treating them now is most effective.
You no longer need to travel to Kerala for authentic Karkidaka Chikitsa. VVAC brings the legendary Ashtavaidyan healing tradition to the Shivalik foothills — with Kerala-trained doctors, an in-house Kashayapura, and a 25-acre nature campus designed for deep rest.

Our campus sits in the gentle foothills, not the treacherous high altitudes. At just 50 minutes from Chandigarh, we are easily accessible by road and rail with no risk of landslides or high-altitude monsoon hazards.
Surrounded by dense forest, our campus offers the purest air and the deepest silence — the ideal environment for Panchakarma. The monsoon here is gentle, nurturing, and perfectly suited for therapeutic rest.
CGHS, Haryana Government, and CAPF empanelment mean cashless treatment options for eligible patients. NABH accreditation ensures the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and clinical protocol.
We are the only facility north of Kerala with an in-house herbal pharmacy. Our oils, decoctions, and medicines are prepared fresh every day under the guidance of physicians from the legendary Eledath Thaikattu Mooss family lineage.
Every program is individualized after a detailed physician consultation. This is classical medicine — not a standard package.

Karkidaka Chikitsa is not only for the unwell. Healthy individuals use it as an annual immunity reset — a preventive deep-clean for the body and mind.

We understand that choosing a monsoon retreat requires clarity — especially about travel and safety. Here is everything you need to know.
Yes — our location is specifically safe. VVAC is located in the Shivalik foothills near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh — not the high Himalayan regions that experience landslides and flash floods during monsoon. The foothills are low-altitude, stable terrain with excellent road connectivity. We are just 50 minutes from Chandigarh via a smooth, well-maintained highway with no mountain passes or risky stretches. Unlike high-altitude hill stations, our campus receives gentle, nourishing rain — ideal for Ayurvedic therapy.
Karkidaka Chikitsa is a seasonal Ayurvedic protocol conducted during the monsoon month of Karkidakam (mid-July to mid-August). While it uses Panchakarma therapies, it is specifically calibrated to the monsoon physiology. The medicines, diet, oil types, and even the duration of therapies are adjusted because your body's receptivity is different during this season. Classical texts like the Ashtanga Hridayam state that treatments given during this window penetrate deeper and hold longer.
The ideal duration depends on your health status and goals:
• 7 days — Introductory surface-level detox and rejuvenation
• 14 days — Recommended for most patients; reaches deeper tissues
• 21 days — Ideal for comprehensive detox and lasting immunity reset
• 28–40 days — For chronic conditions requiring intensive intervention
After your initial consultation, our physicians will recommend the optimal duration for your constitution and condition.
Not at all. In classical Ayurveda, Ritucharya (seasonal regimens) were designed for the healthy, not just the sick. Karkidaka Chikitsa is increasingly used by professionals, wellness seekers, and even younger patients as an annual preventive reset. It eliminates accumulated toxins, strengthens digestion, boosts immunity before the winter, and deeply de-stresses the nervous system. Think of it as an annual deep-cleaning for your body and mind.
It is uncompromisingly authentic. VVAC is the only facility north of Kerala with an in-house Kashayapura (herbal pharmacy). Our doctors are trained in Kerala, and our treatment protocols follow the Ashtavaidyan tradition from the legendary Eledath Thaikattu Mooss family (Padma Shri awardees). All oils, decoctions, and internal medicines are prepared fresh on campus under physician supervision. We did not adapt Kerala Ayurveda to North India — we brought Kerala to North India.
Yes. VVAC is empaneled with CGHS (Central Government Health Scheme), Haryana State Government, and CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces including BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB). We also accept cashless and reimbursement claims through various private health insurance providers. Our team handles all documentation, making your healing journey seamless and stress-free.
Our 25-acre campus includes comfortable residential rooms, dedicated treatment centers, a yoga and meditation hall, a Satvic dining hall serving three meals plus herbal tea daily, an in-house herbal pharmacy, a temple and spiritual space, an organic farm, and a Gaushala. The entire campus is surrounded by 500 acres of forest — ensuring pure air, silence, and the ideal environment for deep healing. Daily Wi-Fi workstations are available for those who need to stay connected.
Intensive Panchakarma is not suitable for everyone without medical supervision. Pregnant women, individuals with uncontrolled hypertension, those with acute cardiac conditions, and women in active menstruation should not undergo intensive purification therapies without careful physician evaluation. This is why a doctor consultation is mandatory before any program begins. Every patient is assessed individually, and the program is tailored — or modified — to ensure safety and efficacy.
Karkidakam arrives and leaves within a single month. The body's peak receptivity to treatment is equally time-bound. Reserve your consultation now to secure your place at our 25-acre foothill sanctuary.
